Starting Fall 2025, all graduate students seeking writing support will be directed to use the Graduate Writing Center (GWC). As we begin the transition this spring, graduate students are encouraged to begin scheduling with the GWC when possible. If you have questions regarding this change, please reach out to uwc@baylor.edu or gwc@baylor.edu.
University Writing Center
At the University Writing Center, we offer free consulting in all genres of writing: essays, research papers, lab reports, and job applications, just to name a few. We also help with issues particular to multilingual writers. Whether you want to work on an entire assignment or just have trouble with a few paragraphs, the University Writing Center can help. We take the time to work with you to improve your skills as a writer, so you can apply these skills to future papers and even to your future career. Feel free to ask for help with content, development, organization, style, or grammar. We also help with thesis statements, introductions, conclusions, citations, and formatting.
Graduate Writing Center
The Graduate Writing Center is a resource for all Baylor graduate student writers (online and on-campus) who desire to improve their writing skills. Our consultants are doctoral students from a range of disciplines and help with writing projects at all stages of the composition process -- generating ideas, organizing, and revising. We work with students on any type of writing, including academic papers, reports, personal statements and applications, papers intended for publication, theses and dissertations, or grant proposals. We do not offer consultations focused solely on formatting and citation. All GWC appointments require a meeting to discuss feedback, whether that be online or in-person (client's choice.)
